Burns Christian Academy afforded our family not only more time and flexibility but our daughter was also able to do the work at her own pace. This model affords parents and the student a chance to develop interpersonal, academic, and relational skills without the distraction of peer pressure. Our experience with the academy was exceptional. Our daughter did well on the ACT, and she was very prepared for college coursework. Online schooling afforded her the opportunity to be highly self motivated and helped her with problem-solving skills. She finished her first year of college with a 4.0, despite carrying a heavy class load. Some are concerned about social development when a child is learning at home; however this concern was unfounded in our personal experience. Time with family and friends of all ages has made our daughter well equipped to form strong relationships and has matured her beyond her years.
